Graham is Universal Homes’ well-respected and experienced Chief Executive. Being with Universal Homes for 39 years, there is very little that Graham doesn’t know about the New Zealand building industry. Graham has a solid accountancy background, and is an Associate Member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants.
With degrees in architecture and property, Andrew has lived property development for over 20 years. This includes managing development teams in the private and public sector across dozens of projects. He is an outspoken advocate of advancing the development industry and building peoples futures.
Kennedy arrived in New Zealand in 2002, and after studying the Auckland housing market, soon discovered his passion for property. He completed his Master’s degree in 2011 before returning to China, where he spent two years planning and marketing waterfront properties.
Mike is Universal Homes’ dynamic Sales Manager, with 20+ years of experience in the residential industry. Mike has a Diploma in Business, majoring in real estate management, and knows exactly what it takes to build a referral base of satisfied customers.
When it comes to getting things done at Universal Homes, Sunil is an enthusiastic leader. Sunil’s passion for his job and the challenges it offers means there is never a dull moment when it comes to getting things exactly right.
Grant has been an experienced and passionate Construction Manager with Universal for over 12 years. He manages our large teams of subcontractors and suppliers, and works very closely from the outset of projects with our design team to ensure achievement of appropriate pricing and optimum yields.
With a Bachelor of Commerce and over 27 years of financial experience at Universal, Debbie’s exceptional eye for detail, ability to accurately forecast present and future commitments, and stay on budget serves her well as our highly regarded Financial Controller. Debbie has also been involved with the development and implementation of new IT systems.
Customer Service
Our friendly customer services officer, Mandy, is committed to providing our clients with information and support from the start to the completion of your brand new home. She has an extensive background in both property and maintenance management, as well as many years of experience in all aspects of the customer service domain. She is an integral part of this department.
Meagan comes to Universal with over 12 years’ experience in the customer services industry. She has been involved in all aspects of dealing with clients in the public sector through her previous long standing role within the Auckland Council and Metrowater. She is part of our welcoming and meticulous customer services team.
Sales Team
Maryanne offers home buyers all the advantages of her naturally friendly and helpful service, combined with her strong financial services background and untiring work ethic. With over 20 years experience with Universal, Maryanne knows the ‘ins and outs’ of the Universal home buying process from all angles, having been an assistant accountant before joining the Sales team.
Joanne is passionate about the needs and goals of her clients and specialises in bringing peace of mind to home buyers. With over 10 years experience in the Real Estate industry, New Home Construction and Property development.
Jeff comes to Universal Homes with over 30 years’ experience in the Residential Real Estate industry, much of which has been selling new homes. His easy-going but professional attitude combined with his industry knowledge, will allow you to buy a Universal Home with confidence.
Shelley comes to Universal with an extensive background of sales and marketing experience over a range of industries. With her highly talented approach and professional personality, home buyers at West Hills can expect to be well looked after across every detail of their purchase.
Lisa’s passion for property is evident through her interior design flare and attention to detail. Living locally, Lisa is vastly experienced in both the North Shore and Rodney areas. Her friendly smile make her clients feel welcome and at ease with the building process.
Adrienne has over 25 years’ experience in the building industry and has a wealth of sales knowledge. Having a builder for a husband, Adrienne understands the building process and knows how to transform a house into a home.
Steve is one of Universal Homes’ most successful and longstanding sales consultants. Steves been with Universal Homes for over 23 years, and there is not much that he doesn’t know about the needs of customers when it comes to buying a new home.
Maryanne comes from a strong real estate and customer service background. Described as outgoing, with a sharp eye for detail, home buyers are guaranteed to find the answers they need about the advantages of buying in Millwater.
Friendly and passionate about property, Rachel was pleasantly surprised to find how enjoyable joining the sales team at Universal Homes has been. Rachel says - “Welcoming visitors to our elegant show home on Pokeno estate doesn’t seem like work at all”.

Construction
Marius has been involved with Health & Safety for the past decade. He spent a large portion of this period in the construction industry, in both Christchurch and most recently London. He moved back to New Zealand where he joined the Universal team and has been with us for over a year now.
With over 8 years’ experience in land development in projects all over the world, Gerards experience is a proven asset to Universal. Responsible for the land development management including programming, resource consenting and civil works he holds a Bachelor of Surveying.
Damon has been involved in the residential building industry for 24 years. He joined the Universal team over five years ago and has recently been promoted to a Senior Project Manager role responsible for our Hobsonville and Huapai Estates. He is extremely dedicated and hard working and loves handing over quality homes to our clients.
Michael is a qualified builder with over 20 years’ experience in both residential and commercial construction. Using both his practical and procedural management skills, Mike enjoys seeing a job from start to finish.
Planning & Design
Cheryl is a Licensed Building Practitioner (Design 2) with over 30 years’ experience in the building industry and has worked in New Zealand, Perth and London. She leads a team of over ten designers and has been involved with Universal for over nine years.
With 12 years previous experience in council regulation, Trish is Universal Homes' ultra-efficient and personable consents administrator for all our housing developments across Auckland and the wider North Island.
Natalia comes to Universal with ten years overseas and New Zealand experience. She has a Master degree in Civil Construction Quality Management and Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planner. With her enthusiasm and passion, Natalia is able to follow through to ensure that the job gets done to high standards. She is effectively multi-tasking to ensure that all projects are completed in a timely and effective manner.
Land Acquisition
Kent graduated from The University of Auckland in 2014 with a Bachelor of Property & Commerce Conjoint. He then spent two and a half years in Sydney after being exposed to the Real Estate market there before returning in 2016. He joined the Universal team almost a year ago and is both a motivated and energetic operator with a passion for property development.
Michael graduated Auckland University with a Bachelor of Property (BProp) in 2015 and spent the remainder of 2015 in The Netherlands as player/coach for a cricket club. Before joining Universal, he worked as a commercial Real Estate Agent. He has a keen interest in the dynamic and ever changing property industry and in his spare time loves playing or watching sports.
Leo graduated from The University of Auckland in 2015 with a Bachelor of Property & Commerce Conjoint. His experience and knowledge gained from the CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) property development project in Sichuan, China made him scrupulous, dedicated, and motivated. He takes pride in his bilingual ability to speak English and Mandarin Chinese, and he has a keen interest and passion for property development.
